Williamstown GAA Club
Williamstown GAA Club was founded in 1888, and is still going strong 123 years later. In the earlier decades, survival was the name of the game, but from the mid 1970s onwards, success after success has come to the club with numerous titles and trophies being won at all levels, adult and underage. As recently as 2010, the club had yet another outstanding season, when its minors won the big treble of North Board League, North Board Championship and County Championship. The facilities at the local sportsfield are first class, with an excellent playing pitch, modern changing rooms, comfortable meeting rooms and two championship ball alleys. A very impressive stand is currently in the process of being built beside the pitch.

Williamstown Heritage Society
Williamstown Heritage Society was founded in the year 2000 and in its short existence has achieved tremendous success. It has raised awareness of heritage matters in the community, it has organised successful heritage days, it has held heritage walks in numerous locations in the parish and it has picked up three County Heritage Awards. As its flagship project, it has purchased, on behalf of the community, Templetogher Mill and subsequently restored and developed it to the extent that it is now a most impressive and popular local tourist amenity

EdMar B&B Castlerea is only ten minutes from Castlerea.
Castlerea is a medium-sized town with many restaurants and shops to choose from.
There is Clonalis House - a 19th century manor house that is open to the public.
Castlerea also has a 9-hole golf course and club for golf enthusiasts.
The Castlerea Demense is a wonderful area right in the middle of town - great for taking walks and looking at nature.
